During my first week of my blogging, I have shared with you a MUST-KNOW site to download many softwares, games and so on from GiveAwayOfTheDay. It really shares lot of stuffs but they come with short validity (or limited Active GiveAway Time) which can be irritating. However, there is a possibility that you actually can bypass it and still use it without any problem. Thanks to chrisjlocke to remind me posting this trick or otherwise I would have never shared this tip.
Note that this little trick can only work in conducive condition. You can just save this trick if you find this trick is not applicable for you right now for your future use.

To try this trick, you can visit the Game site of GiveAwayOfTheDay here. Check the avalibility of the game and download the zip or rar file. Unzip and run the setup to install. Then the game should be activated and the setup for the game is ready to run. At this step, browse to your temporary folder (hidden by default in Windows). For intermediate computer users, they should be able to locate temporary folder easily in C:\ or Username's Document and Settings. To make things easier, just type in your command prompt: %temp%. Command Prompt can be executed by typing cmd in your "Run" command under "Start Menu".
To show hidden files, from any folder window, go to Tools> Folder Options> View and mark the "Show Hidden Files".
Search for a file named wexxx.tmp (xxx can be any letter or number, mostly 21c). Copy the file to another location. Change its extension to .exe and remove its hidden attribute. Now you can use this exe to install the same game to other PCs even though the activation period has passed long long time ago.
I myself have not tested the regular file setups yet because most of the hidden real games were sfx zip archives. They self-extract themselves.
This trick is effectively very useful for your favourite game from the site. Free games forever!

Um... then how do u bypass it if the setup is by itself and there's an 'activate' file?? if u know what i mean...
You mean you need another seperate file to activate the installed file?
Well anyway, this trick only works for general downloads which you can download the rar and zip, then you can keep the exe inside the rar or zip and you can install it whenever you want using this trick.

well, yeah, i meant i need a separate file to activate it...
but by keeping the downloaded exe file, it is still not activated after installig them, so how can i acTIvate them? (as in future use...) u need the separated file to activate it.. i hope u know wat i mean..
And the seperate file which is to activate the download exe is not from temp folder (wexxx.exe)? As far as I know, if you have the copy of wexxx.exe, then you do not need the downloaded exe anymore as the wexxx.exe acts as a stand-alone installer now.
dat's the prob... it isnt in the temp folder... it's function is to activate the program... it is exe file btw...
I myself rarely download from GiveAwayOfTheDay. I guess if you need a seperate exe file to activate, that means they have known this issue and applied to all (or some?) of the files.

some of the downloads, when extracted, are a single "setup" file, when, after executed and validated, shows the wexxx.tmp file in the temp directory. Other downloads have 2 files in them, a "setup" and an "activate". You can run the setup at anytime, but the activate needs to be run after installation and within the giveaway period, therefore this bypass trick wouldn't work in that case.

I like the way they are providing the files without those irritating wrappers. This way we can install and activate the software even when the giveaway period has expired.

The File has to be extracted on the day of the givaway in order to get the tmp file that you rename to exe.

This is an obsolete method. GAOTD has changed things. This no longer works. There will be NO WEXXX.TMP files.
Allthought this is the same trick (and unfortunately not unwrapper) as others I've seen, it's NOT obsolete! Some GAOTD "gifts" use this "straight" method, others will need activation and there are some other variations, too.
What we need is an unwrapper, so that some of these can be reinstalled if this type of method if not performed immediately at the giveaway day!
